The North East Region Architect Council represents the senior level architects from around the area that come together to share best practices and more.

I had the opportunity to speak about the development work we had done at Merck as a part of our Electronic Clinical Trial Framework. As the chief architect and program lead, I had a chance to work with some great people and learned much, including both the good and also what not to do next time.

Through our partnership with Microsoft and especially my counterpart architect from Microsoft, Jim Prussack, we delivered a strong solution that allowed Merck to move our trials from paper to electronic, decreasing cycle time and improving visibility into the processes. The talk centered around some of the best practices and an architecture overview.
